I think I'm ready to get back to code

The pixel thing finally sort of paid off, I got it set up in Smack Studio and it can move. The next step there would be to learn how to make animations actually look decent, but really, I think it's time I get back to microbe survivors with fresh eyes. Still plenty to do there as far as balancing the shuriken weapon, creating and spawning destructibles, more pickups, and better enemy logic. I've heard of something related to pooling them which has the potential to be a better implementation than creating and freeing nodes, so I'll be looking into that, and splitting up enemy types to be stronger or weaker, that kind of stuff. Part of me feels frustrated that I switch between so many different things to work on instead of just focusing on one, but on the other hand I also feel like I grow faster and learn new things on the other projects that I can bring back into the main ones to make them better, and I wouldn't have that perspective without those side projects. So that's kind of my strategy, just work on it until I hit a wall and then try some other stuff on the side, learn some new tips and tricks and then get back to it.

So now the basic plan is, I'm still going to be working on new models for the open source project, but I'm itching to write more code for microbe survivors too, so I'll make some progress there as well.
